MOT – General Service

This is a gentle ‘check-up’ where new life is breathed into ‘tired’ cues, reviving them with a sympathetic all round general clean up.

Includes:

• General clean-up or light sanding where necessary
• Ferrule restoration – back to new condition
• Ferrule walls and shaft wood levelled where necessary
• MW SuperTip fitted for your immediate playing pleasure
• Tweaking of minor bends where present
• Finally, a coat or two of cue oil to nourish the wood
• Add the optional UltraShine treatment for the ultimate ‘better than new’ experience

No alterations are made, no repairs of dents etc., just a good old fashioned ‘once-over’, returning your cue tidy, refreshed, and like new.

UltraShine

This is a new extra stage of final finishing which you can add to any work you need doing. It is not necessary, but highly recommended.

Gives the cue butt a unique final finish with a high polish and natural feel.

Includes:

• UltraShine butt finish
• Not available separately – Only as an addition to standard oil finish process.

BlackSpin

Includes:

• Removal of existing ferrule/tip and the delicate operation of fitting the BlackSpin Core & Ferrule System, increasing cue ‘power’ and improving ‘feel’ on every level
• Light tapering of shaft – This is only done if it needs ‘tweaking’ (make it better) or if you specifically ask for it, but if you don’t want it touched, just say

• Add tip size reduction, if required – minimum 8mm (includes shaft tapering to match)

This is not just a simple re-ferrule job, it involves a lot of work and will change your cue for the good. Don’t forget the price includes a general refinish so it’s great value too.

Brass Ferrule

Do you need a new brass ferrule? Maybe a change of tip size? Make your cue shorter?

• New ferrule + tip  –  Straight swap, no size changes
• Or shorten cue and/or taper to a smaller tip size
• MW SuperTip fitted for your immediate playing pleasure
• If you’d like the whole cue serviced and refinished, add the MOT option from above as well

Returned to you with a lovely, new, shiny ferrule. Until you scratch it again…

F1-Convert

Convert your cue to the acclaimed F1 Rapid Joint system – Improves overall feel and hit.

• Convert 1pc cues to jointed with F1 Rapid Joint System
• Or remove existing main joint and replace with F1
• Complimentary MOT service + MW SuperTip = New Cue
• Add the optional UltraShine treatment for the ultimate ‘better than new’ experience

Please note – Black F1 joints are very light, so are excellent for 1pc conversions as they make very little difference to weight and balance.

Also, replacing old brass joints with Black F1 can reduce weight by 1oz or more, so is perfect if you want to lose weight on a butt jointed cue that is too heavy (although the original weight will be maintained unless otherwise requested).

F1-X

Do you need an F1 base joint for extensions?

• Add F1 joint in base to accept extensions
• Or remove old joint and replace with F1

Weight

Got a loose weight or need to change weight?

• Remove and reset loose weights
• Add or remove weight – change balance if required

Shaft Taper

Cue too stiff? Or just need a slimmer shaft to feel more comfortable over the bridge area?

If you need the ferrule changing or adjusting as well, please add either the brass or BlackSpin ferrule options from above.

Butt Taper

Got a big old butt you need sorting out?

• Slim down your butt diameter & refinish
• Includes UltraShine treatment for an amazing transformation
• Specify new butt diameter in Comments box at Checkout
• If you’d like the whole cue serviced and refinished, choose the + MOT option

Returned in better than new condition and the UltraShine finish will make your jaw drop when you see it.

SOS – Help!

This takes over from the MOT service when serious work is needed, and is for cues that need a LOT of tender loving care. From minor damage or severe neglect through to completely broken wrecks.

Affectionately called the ‘make shit shine’ department – You name it, everything gets done.

Stripped, straightened, filled, repaired etc.. If it’s at all possible to fix, it gets done.

Includes:

• Repair any/all splits and breaks
• Reset/repair original joints and any damaged joint area
• Removal or filling of all dents/chips/scratches
• Slight or heavy bends* – includes hand planing them out if necessary
• Ferrule restoration – back to new condition
• Complimentary MOT service + MW SuperTip = Thank You Mike!
• Add the optional UltraShine treatment for the ultimate ‘better than new’ experience

* Severe bends may be impossible but will be as good as they can possibly get. Also, bent butts cannot be straightened without major removal of material. Serious thinning of the cue may solve the problem but will only be done with your consent.

Cue Lengthening – 4pt Hand Splice

Need another inch? Don’t we all…

• Extend your cue with traditional 4pt hand splicing method
• Will be done with a standard stock wood like Rosewood for a dark appearance or Maple for a light appearance
• No specific choice of wood nor customised patterns will be done
• This is strictly a service to get the cue to the length you want, it is not a cheap way to turn your crap cue into a glorious custom cue masterpiece

Replacement Shaft

Broke your shaft? Or maybe need your cue a bit longer? Save your lovely butt from going in the bin and get a nice shiny new shaft for it.

• Make a new shaft to fit an existing 3/4 type butt.
• Original butt and old shaft must be sent here to enable a new shaft to be matched up as close as possible.

Returned as a transformed ‘new’ cue.
