All cues will be made with a round butt and laser engraved with the Mike Wooldridge © 2025 signature.
Cues can also be personalised by laser engraving your own name to help prevent theft.
3) Why Round Butt?
Comfort! A round butt feels smoother in the hand than the angles/edges of a flat butt, which can help minimise the possibility of ‘snatching’ and improve your cue power.
In other cue sports all cues have round butts and a traditional flat, in reality, is just a relic of the past, which may well hinder your progress in the quest to improve your game or cue power in general.
Jimmy White used a round butt and was one the most natural players to ever play the game with extreme, controlled, cue power. It’s time to move on. Be like Jimmy…
4) Ash Shaft
All my standard cues will be made with Ash Shaft because I believe Ash has a better feel than Maple. If you insist on Maple then I can still do it but it will be made via my VCM (Virtual Cue Maker) program.

I just wanted to say “Thank You” for the beautiful MW Tiger snooker cue you made for me. The packaging was excellent and, although the outside box showed some rough handling in its long journey to the USA, the inside contents were completely protected and in pristine condition. Those durable cardboard tubes are brilliant!
The length (59″), weight (18.5 oz), and diameters (tip: 11mm; butt: 28.5mm) are exactly what I ordered. The “squirt” or deflection characteristics as good as, if not better, than any other shaft I have owned. The cue’s overall fit and finish are awesome. I especially like how you made the shaft’s grain line up when the two pieces are assembled – with no visible collar. The butterfly splices are exquisite, perfectly aligned at both top and bottom, and I love those needle-sharp endpoints. The tiger maple is gorgeous and a nice adornment to the cue’s handle. Another quality I admire and appreciate is the overall smoothness of the entire cue. My only other ash shaft (made in China) has a noticeable grain which actually grabs/catches hair in my goatee (!); however, this one is buttery smooth. The handle glides beautifully through my grip hand with no stickiness at all. The extension (6 oz) is an outstanding addition, joins quickly and effortlessly, and extends easily to a comfortable range of lengths ideal for American pool table dimensions.
I chose MW because I was impressed by your innovative designs and attention to not only external appearance, but critical performance characteristics of a cue including the ferrule, tip, timber selections, and finish. I made a stellar choice!
I have spent several hours playing pool with this marvelous piece and am still becoming accustomed to her balance and shooting characteristics – a love affair in early blossom. In case there is any doubt, I am thoroughly delighted with my new MW “Tiger” snooker cue!

I have over 25 cues in my collection so i would like to think that i know a good cue from a great cue and below are my thoughts
Just had my new cue delivered yesterday and all i can say is wow,i have 2 JP cues and this MW Tiger Cues is without doubt a better made cue.
The splices are spot on and the smoothness is second to none.Wish i had known about you years ago but better late than never as the say.
If anyone is looking for a Top of the Range Cue at a great price then look no further great workmanship and a pleasure to deal with,thanks again Mike.

It arrived from across the Atlantic in perfect condition – very well packaged. And it is truly a work of art. The balance and feel surpassed all my expectations. I tried the cue today for the first time.Oh man,this is the best cue i had ever have.my first cue was BCE,no longer there.Second cue was O’MIN,before i got your cue,i was using a Parris cue supreme.None of those cues feels as good as yours.The feedback of the strength when i deliver the cue to the cue ball was so strong,it feels like IT IS ALIVE!none of those dead wood can compare a bit of yours!
And the blackspin tip is also fantastic!i could never forget the sound that it makes when it touches the cue ball,amazing!
Tonight,all my friends in the club tried it,they all love it,the coach said to me:this is the best cue in the club,even in the city.How ever,none of those idiots had ever heard about Mike Wooldridge before until today.
So here we go,i placed another order for my friend.MW will be famouse in my city from now on(I know MW is already famouse in the world,but you know,this is a small city in China,far far away from UK)

i ordered my Tiger Ash on the 28th March from the website and my order was turned around in two weeks. The cue was made to my own specifications. It arrived two days ago. Impressive stuff, although I admit to catching the shop open pretty quickly.
Once I opened the packaging, let me say that the sense and feel of quality with this cue is immediate. The quality of the craftsmanship and the time and care taken is obvious and clear to see from the precision of the splices through to the tip fitted with one of the new wooldridge black spin tips. The overall finish is fantastic, and although mike wouldn’t say it, I will say it far outshines that of Parris which I previous owned. This is simply chalk and cheese.
The proof is in the playing, and once down the club my fellow players were impressed by the quality and overall finish of my Tiger Ash cue. Everyone who picked it up had nothing but positive things to say about it. A pal of mine who waited five months for his own Parris cue (and then sold it on eBay after literally just a few frames of playing with it) said that he should have bought a Wooldridge!!! He should have.
Having read the website in depth prior to ordering, I found it hard to see where Mike could almost bragg that the cue ‘feels’ better than other brands and that his play more accurately when striking the balls. Let me assure anyone reading this he was right. Somehow it feels more positive and the cleanliness of the strike can be felt and is obviously better. It even sounds cleaner and far more positive when contact is made.
Mike won’t like this, but the following must be said. After emailing Mike a couple of times prior to ordering, he reassured me and answered my perhaps obvious questions but without any pressure at all. He pretty much said that he was confident in his product although to him it’s much more than that. A passion almost. I spent around £700 on mine overall and haven’t even thought about the money once the cue was in my hand. It’s that good.
Hopefully anyone thinking of going anywhere else for a cue of high quality and have subsequently read this review should not go anywhere else.
Brilliant craftsman, fantastic customer service. I cannot recommend highly enough.
