This is the ‘Original’ joint found on most of the early 2pc centre joint cues, and still being used to day on all types of jointed cue.

Features:

• Slim – major benefit for centre joint cues as the least amount of wood needs to be removed.
• Also very suitable for butt joint cues.
• Solid and reliable.

Includes:

• Male and Female component
• One set of brass reinforcement rings – Fitted to reduce risk of future splits and breakages and for brass faces to be visible when cue is done up. Or leave the rings off for a more natural wood to wood contact and a 1pc look.

Reinforcement rings available in two sizes:

• 22mm – suitable for centre joint style cue
• 27mm – suitable for butt joint style cue

Advice:

The rings are also very handy for other repair work, especially for fixing cues broken at the joint.

After repairing the break, simply cut a rebate and fit the ring tightly, thus ‘holding’ the repair and avoiding future splits at the weak points.

My advice, save the rings for when you need to fix a split cue. Plus, in my opinion, cues look nicer when the joint is ‘invisible’.
